Zamalek has invested a big sum during the summer time, they baught international striker Mahmoud Abdel Razek "Shikabakla", one of the greatest talents in egyption football Ahmed Gaafar, just 20 years old, Amr Zaki from Wigan Athletic and Ahmed Hossam, known as Mido who was loaned from M`brough.
Zamalek selected a new chairman in june, the new president is a very rich person in egypt, named Mamdou Abbas. He will be there for 4 years and will do everything to bring Zamalek back where they have been once, to the title. They won the egyptian title last in 2004, won the cup in 2008.
In the first round last week they have beaten Enppi in Arab Contractors stadium with 3:1. They dominated the whole game, played very fast on counter-attacks and Shika scored one and served the other one on a silver plate for defender Mahmmoud Fathallah.
